Busy Bees More or Less? A Math Center w/ Recording Sheets

This is a great introduction to teaching students about more or less/greater than/less than. It incorporates counting skills and identifying groups of more or less. The directions are easy to follow for an independent math center. You could also use this activity in a small guided math group. *Laminate the cards for center before using so that students may use a dry erase marker to circle the bees. :)

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching for 7 years and LOVE it! I am teaching first grade for my second year and am enjoying every minute of it. I have a background in special education and I just received my ESL endorsement. To teach is to live through an adventure day by day!

Teaching style

All students can learn. I enjoy using different methods and strategies to help my learners grow! Some programs I implement in my classroom is Daily 5, Guided Reading Plus, and Daily 3 Math. I also use strategies from "whole brain teaching" aka "power teaching." Brain breaks are also an important part of our first grade experience!

My own education history

I went to school K-12 in a west suburb of Chicago. Then went to college at University of Northern Iowa. I Graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education k-6 and Special Education k-12. I went back to school for my ESL endorsement as well!
