This is a perfect game to have students play that matches 2 syllable words with their pictures. This aligns with fundations unit 12. This can be used as a partner game or as task cards.

Here is a perfect whole class reward system. It has worked amazing in my class. I introduced it in the middle of the year because it was a lot to keep up with individual plans. For me, I played teacher vs students and if the students won, they got a token on the image. If we tied, I would draw a stick and play rock paper scissors. This kept everyone in the class accountable for their actions.

Here is a perfect digraph sort for your students. This activity focuses on digraphs in the beginning of a word. I made this for task boxes for my students. Print, laminate, and cut. They are ready to go. I made big cards for the digraph sound. Then the little cards are the pictures they have to sort. There are no words with the pictures so that the students can think about the sound that the word has.

This is a perfect activity for partner work or small group work. The purple strips have words that have the ng or nk glued sounds. One students will grab a purple slip and without showing their partner, they will read it. Then the partner will spell the word. After the word is spelled they are able to self check.

A perfect activity for partner time or small groups. Have one student grab a yellow words and read it to their partner. Then the partners uses the letters to spell the word. After the first partner can show the second partner if they got it right.

Here is a perfect sorting game that focuses on beginning blends. This can be printed in black and white. There are five pictures that go with each blend. If you want, you could write the word on the back of each picture as well. Print, laminate, play!
