This is a fun poster project I use to wrap up my unit on the Atmosphere. I then allow the students to take a formative assessment with their posters near their desks. So if they do a good job, basically they get a 'cheat sheet' on the test. It really motivates them to do good work and let's the more artistic students have a chance to gain a substantial number of points.
I use this with my homeroom class as an ice breaker game as well a great relaxing activity after STAAR. It aligns with ELA TEKs so gives them some review and lets the kids relax while playing some songs and discussing.
I made this writing prompt for my 6th Grade Study skills class when we were learning about philosophy and feminism. It is to accompany the movie "Barbie: Princess Charm School". It includes a point system as well as numerous prompts.
