This is a math alphabet that is geared toward 3rd grade, however, there are some 2nd and 4th grade vocabulary words in it. There are multiple options for most of the letters. I couldn't find a math alphabet I liked with enough multiple vocabulary options that I could switch out during the year, so I created one! Experience

I have completed my 15th year of teaching this past school year. I have taught 3 years of 4th, 1 year of 5th, 2 years of 1st, 3 years of 2nd, and 5 years of 3rd grade.

Teaching style

I use cooperative learning when at all possible, manipulatives, and as much technology as possible with my students. With my small groups I use a lot of scaffolding, dry erase board responses, and stem questions that tend to lean towards inferencing with justification and explanations to ready them for our new FSA tests.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Nominated many times for Who's Who Among American Teachers. Also receive awards at my school for student achievement and professional development.

My own education history

Graduate from Florida Southern College with a B.A. degree. Too many trainings to count in my 15 years of teaching!

Additional biographical information

Married to a fellow teacher:) We have 2 beautiful children:) A girl who just turned 9 in September and a boy who will turn 6in April. We are also "owned" by 2 female cats and 2 male cats (you never own a cat, they own you)...
