This is a set of nonfiction and biography response cards that can be used in small groups, whole group HOT questions, centers/tasks, or SSR/DEAR time for them to respond in journals. If you look at my store, you will see a file that says 2 formats in its name. It also includes this file, the fiction questions, and the same questions in another format with pictures if you'd like a combo pack:)

Fiction Reading Response Task Cards PDF
Fiction reading response task cards in pDF format. There are 9 pages of 6 cards for a total of 54 in all! They can be printed in color or black and white on card stock to last if you laminate and cut out. They could be used as HOT ?s in whole group or small group, task cards, or responses during SSR or DEAR time in journals. Just place them in a central location or in baggies at teams or groups. Let me know if you would like anything changed or added.

Experience
I have completed my 15th year of teaching this past school year. I have taught 3 years of 4th, 1 year of 5th, 2 years of 1st, 3 years of 2nd, and 5 years of 3rd grade.
Teaching style
I use cooperative learning when at all possible, manipulatives, and as much technology as possible with my students. With my small groups I use a lot of scaffolding, dry erase board responses, and stem questions that tend to lean towards inferencing with justification and explanations to ready them for our new FSA tests.
Awards & shining teacher moments
Nominated many times for Who's Who Among American Teachers. Also receive awards at my school for student achievement and professional development.

Graduate from Florida Southern College with a B.A. degree.

Additional biographical information
Married to a fellow teacher:) We have 2 beautiful children:) A girl who just turned 9 in September and a boy who will turn 6in April. We are also "owned" by 2 female cats and 2 male cats (you never own a cat, they own you)...
