Easy follow along for a webpage (listed in document and https://kids.kiddle.co/Yeast) about Yeast. Great for preparing for a simple asexual reproduction experiment. Also a good sub day activity. The article webpage can also be printed ahead of time for students instead of using the online website. This takes about 20-30 minutes depending on student reading speed. I used this as a "pre-lab" before students could check out supplies for the yeast experiment.

Fabulous Frogs BBC Documentary by David Attenborough movie guide. You'll need access to BBC and there's normally a free trial. Great sub day activity or for a no prep easier day. Could also be used as a prep for learning about frogs in general or a day post-frog dissections to learn about frogs. Students fill out questions that are fill in the blank, drawing/coloring, multiple choice and short answer.

This is a great documentary for upper level middle school students or high school students. The life of Ted Fujita was remarkable. The father of the Fujita scale for measuring tornado windspeed. The documentary can be purchased on Amazon or sometimes found online through a search. Excellent reward for a class or a sub day activity.

Very easy activity and good for self directed students. Use the video link in the file to get excited about asteroids. I had students watch the video with me as a whole class and answer basic questions from it (what, where, when...). Select a reading for students (you can purchase on TPT or find one online, or use a textbook). Have students complete their reading and get the poster checklist. Self directed checklist to make a scientific diagram/mini poster. This has been a big hit in my class!
