A wide variety of verbs are used--regular (including reflexive) and irregular. This is great for all levels--from classes first learning these tenses to a fun

This is a PowerPoint with 30 questions asking students what they like in terms of music, mostly singing and a few with dancing. The idea is that this is a physically participatory activity: I used to do it with one side of the room being Sí and the other being No and they had to move from one side to the other as their opinions/habits dictated. Of course you can use these any way you want, but let me just say that my students LOVED the back and forth activities like this and always begged

Speaking in the target language is the hardest and most intimidating skill for students. We are always looking to get your students to SPEAK more, so here is something I used with my students for years. I did it once per week with novice levels and twice per week with intermediate and advanced. More details in the document. I used both a dartboard (plastic tip or even a ball) or 20-sided dice. A spinner with 20 numbers can work as well as any sorting device from 1-20. Included are 5 lists

This amusing lesson in the plus-que-parfait tells the imagined story of Humpty Dumpty before he made his fateful climb up on the wall. The story is all in the PQP until he falls, so we are learning about what happened before the main event. There are 8 other fairy tales with a picture and a significant event, and students take the example of Humpty Dumpty and craft their own imagined versions of what happened in each story before the given event. Great practice for plus-que-parfait, which is

About the store

Experience

31 years of classroom experience in French, Spanish, and Latin, all levels. Now I teach at our local community college and I am loving it. Meanwhile I have decades worth of teaching materials that worked for me along the way so I have decided to spruce them up, add even more stuff, and offer them here!

Teaching style

Definitely a mix of it all--traditional, grammar, CI, TPRS... I like to mix it up so I hit everyone's learning style at some point in each lesson. I am a big SmartBoard educator, lots of stuff in SmartNotebook that turned out to be great lessons and fun interactive activities that my students loved! Sadly, no one uses SmartNotebook anymore, so I turned most of those activities into similarly structured paper stuff or PowerPoints. Same idea, just on paper or a PowerPoint. My larger units all contain a wide variety of listening, reading, writing, speaking, games, synthesis, a vocabulary choice board and many, many other kinds of activities... the list is exhaustive. I try to include as many different kinds of activities in each unit as I can to address as many learning styles as I can.

Where to begin? Lots of student trips--more than a dozen between Quebec and Europe (France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland). I also marched in drum and bugle corps in the 80's and 90's and still love it.
