About the store
I've been the teacher for more than 5 years, but less than 10 years. :) I love science and have a great understanding of the roadblocks that many children may reach when learning science. I try to create assignments that create small "chunks" of learning to create the big picture. I also have a strong math background and enjoy helping students with their mathematics struggles.

Potential Energy Diagram Practice Endothermic and Exothermic Reactions

Students will be given two Potential Energy Diagrams -- one Endothermic, one Exothermic. They will have to read the graph and determine if the graph is showing an endothermic or exothermic reaction, justify why it is so, then calculate the heat of reaction (delta H), activation energy (Ea), reverse activation energy, answer four conceptual multiple choice questions, and then determine if 9 real-life scenarios demonstrate exothermic or endothermic reactions. This worksheet is suitable for the co

Transverse Longitudinal Wave Compare Contrast Venn Diagram With Without Prompts

Test student understanding about the characteristics of Transverse versus Longitudinal Waves using this Venn Diagram. Great as a homework assignment, review at the end of a unit, or an extra challenge for your GT kids. I've enclosed two versions -- one with a bank of 24 characteristics to help prompt your students and get them thinking, and one without prompts for a more open-ended individual/small-group assignment. Enjoy this product and let me know how it worked for you!

Physics Warmup Bellringer Exit Tickets SI Units Accuracy Distance Displacement

These "Exit Tickets" are a great way to assess student learning at the beginning or end of class to review major concepts. These will cover the first couple of weeks of Physics, covering topics such as converting SI units, reviewing Accuracy vs. Precision, and covering Distance, Displacement, and Resultants in the form of math problems, graphing, and conceptual short-answer questions. Each page has 2-3 duplicates of the question, helping you save paper! These are appropriate for high schoo

Nuclear Decay Foldable Graphic Organizer With and Without Prompts

The objective of this folding graphic organizer is to help students decipher the characteristics of Alpha, Beta and Gamma Decay as they delve into Nuclear Chemistry. Students will identify types of Nuclear Decay Reactions and Characteristics of the Decay Processes, including energy emissions, parent-daughter nuclei comparisons, types of particles involved, etc. This activity would be appropriate for homework, an end-of-topic activity, or even a quick assessment. There are two versions of thi

Wave Warmup Quiz with Answer Key -- Quick Assessment

This is a paper-saving (2 per page) warmup that can also make a great short quiz to assess your students' knowledge of wavelength vs. frequency, frequency vs. pitch, amplitude and its relationship to energy, and constructive/destructive interference. This assignment would be appropriate for Middle School General/Physical Science, High School Physics or a High School Physics/Chemistry course. Students will compare the characteristics of "Wave A" to "Wave B" over the course of its travel in 1 s
