I created this Jeopardy review to review similar figures (specifically triangles) before a unit test. There are 2 daily doubles. When you click the clue that takes you to the daily double, click the link on the slide and it will take you to the clue. The way I play daily doubles is that the team who chooses the daily double, gets "dibs" on answering the question. I they get it wrong, then the other teams can try to answer.

I created and used this in my financial classes after we discuss credit reports. I use the Experian sample credit report that can be found online (the easiest way is by Google Search). The questions have students review the report with a critical eye so they can see what is on a credit report. Created by Function Junction
I have used this with my Personal Financial Mathematics classes for several years. Students search online for a credit card, then they must look at the terms and conditions of the credit card and answer the questions. It has helped my students realize that credit cards have pitfalls and starts the discussion of how to use credit cards responsibly.

I created and used this in my Personal Financial Math classes after we completed many worksheets that had students calculating interest based on 8% (and sometimes higher) interest rates. I had a student comment that they thought they could make that kind of money just from interest, so I had to give my students a "wake-up call." I created this search where students find current rates so they can see what they are actually earning.

I use this project with my students at the conclusion of the linear regression unit. I use local weather data and ask them to create a scatter plot, find the line of best fit, find the correlation coefficient, create a residual plot, interpolate and extrapolate data. The answer key is included.
A set of 3 labs from Function Junction. Each lab contains a table, a grid to plot data and follow-up questions to walk students through the linear regression analysis. Questions include equations of the line of best fit, correlation coefficient, residual plots and extrapolating data.
In my financial math classes, I find current event articles related to our current units. However, in the Investment Unit, I require them to find one and review it. I give several websites for them to find articles, read and review them. This worksheet leads them through the process.

In this math lab students fold and tear paper to model exponential growth and decay. There is one activity for growth and one for decay. After recording their observations, students are asked to write exponential equations and use them to extrapolate information.
This worksheet created by function junction, has students research the terms associated with leasing a vehicle. It also has students compare monthly payments to buy the vehicle.
Students place their "ships" on the cartesian coordinate plane. Guideline for ships are on the worksheet. Students will work in pairs to guess the location of each other's ships. I usually give each student a manilla folder to hide their papers from their opponent.
