STAR WARS DAY (May the 4th be with you) Earth Science Literacy Assignment for online learning. This has a link to an article I found online about the Geology of the different locations used in the STAR WARS movies. This activity helps your students learn which organelles belong in an animal cell or a plant cell. The students work in pairs or alone to create their own cell model using the handout and contact paper. The Handout contains instructions, drawings of organelles, labels and a grading rubric. Can be used with elementary students and can be the beginning of a much larger project for high school students.
This is a multipage file that can be printed and posted on the wall to show the approximate evolution of life on Earth. The separate pages can be taped or glued together and then laminated. Dates are shown only in millions of years to make it easier for all students to understand.
You may want to color the organisms with colored pencils or markers before laminating and hanging.
See the preview of the entire file.
Print this out and put it on a box in your classroom.
When students need to borrow materials such as a pencil, calculator, etc they place their shoe in the box.
This helps them remember to return the borrowed item.
