Technically, I'm not a teacher... I'm a Data Analyst. Yep, sounds pretty boring I know! However, working with data over the last 10 years or so has allowed me to develop some great technical skills with software such as Excel and Powerpoint. It is these skills which are often called upon by my partner (who is a teacher), friends (some of whom are also teachers) and colleagues (not teachers) to help with their work. I've been able to help friends enhance their Powerpoint presentations and Excel spreadheets by utilising features that the casual user may not be aware of, or not know how to use properly. After reading about TPT in the press recently, I thought I would have a go at using these skills to produce fun learning materials and resources which others may find useful. For example, my first upload was a US States and Capitals quiz. Using Excel, I produced a spreadsheet which will randomly generate 20 questions relating to US States and their Capital Cities. The spreadsheet can generate billions of combinations of questions and is as simple to use as opening the file and printing it out. No technical ability required. I intend to use my skills to create more fun, user-friendly and dynamic resources in Excel and Powerpoint. I'm more than happy to accept suggestions and requests for new products. I also plan to produce some materials that will help people to learn some of the more advanced features of Excel for themselves. These can be useful for students studying computing and may also assist teachers with their own data analysis.

Teaching style

I like to use the more advanced features of software such as Excel and Powerpoint to produce simple, engaging and user-friendly resources. As stated above, I am not a teacher myself, but I do lend my technical abilitiy to help others produce and improve materials.

Everything I upload is 100% produced by myself.
