Awards & shining teacher moments
Seven of my first grade students and I were selected to go to Austin Tx. The "Move It Math" representatives flew us to the Texas State Capitol in Austin.
My students performed in front of the government officials the math skills they had acquired in my classroom.
My own education history
Studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and at the Autonomous University of Coahuila (UAC) in Mexico.
Graduated as Psychologist in 1981.
Received my Bilingual Teaching Certification at the Alternative Certification Program in Houston Texas in 1990.
My husband retired me :D! in the year 2011. (PTL).
Additional biographical information
During my teaching carrer, I gradually developed a Language Arts Bilingual Program "LA GEMA DEL LENGUAJE" (The GEM of Language) that I implemented in my Kindergarten classroom.
It is my desire that all those spanish/bilingual kindergarten teachers, who struggle finding relevant activities to implement in their kindergarten classroom, find in my writing, reading and language programs an effective, simple and fun way to give their students a strong foundation in their education.
