About the store
Hi there! My name is Kat. I am a self-contained Special Education Teacher. I currently work in a separate day school for students with intensive behaviors at the middle school level. I am going into my 7th year teaching self contained. Prior to becoming a teacher I worked as a therapy technician for adults with disabilities for 5 years. I've been working with this population for about 12 years now and I absolutely love these humans I get to work with. I strive to make resources for them that will challenge them but also be attainable.

Teaching style

I'm a routine routine routine kind of teacher. Repetition is very important and prevalent in my resources as well. I have always been disappointed with the resources available for special education; especially at the middle school level. I want my students to be challenged in their learning but with levels that best fit their needs. I am always tweaking things as I go for my students.

My own education history

My background is in behavior and I have my Bachelors of Science in psychology with an emphasis in behavior. I originally wanted to work with children with disabilities as a Habilitative Interventionist but life had other plans and I fell in love with teaching!
