This game helps your students focus, and listen. It is a good filler when you only have a few minutes left in a class period. The first time they do it, the time for them to complete it will be longer. Once they get used to it they will go faster.
It is set up that they have to listen or watch for something to happen so they know it is their cue to do what is on their card. If anyone doesn’t pay attention and do their thing it will stop.

This is a chance to write letters in a journal with each of your students. By writing to them you will get to know them better. They will improve their writing skills by writing more often. I include my first journal letter to my students and 20 questions to ask as the year goes by. Please leave a rating! This could also be done as e-mail, since many students have e-mail accounts. You would need to make an account just for writing with students.
