Here is a "how to" instruction page for parents of students who are doing Read Naturally for homework. I keep this in the folder with their Read Naturally homework until parents are confident.

This resource will help them say goodbye! The moving student will write a page to each student in the class. I allow this student to work on it during rotation times. I make each student a copy of the book from their moving-away-fiend. There is also a book that is written to the student moving (so copy enough “book pages” for each student in your class to complete). Great chance to work on publishing skills!

Time to conquer those addition and subtraction math facts! As a big believer in differentiation, and understanding that timed math tests can challenge motor skills in first grade, this is how I begin math fact work! We move into doing timed tests in the spring semester, but this system continues until they have mastered all of the facts.

I am blessed beyond belief with a restroom in my classroom! So thankful to not have to leave the room for restroom breaks! I made this for reminders in the restroom. Since they are in the bathroom, I laminated them so they can be wiped down. Mount them on cheap foam insulation board (found at your local hardware store) with your hot glue gun, wrap some ribbon around the thickness of the foam board and voila! You have a decorated bathroom!

This is a great resource I use when teaching my guys about AM and PM during my unit on time! By relating it to their own world, they are more likely to remember which one is which! I cut it in half after copying and staple it on the sides for a personal 5.5” x 8” booklet.

The clip chart is a great component in my behavior management plan. While I do not use it alone, it is a great visual representation. I use clothespins with numbers on them and not names. Simply copy this on cardstock and laminate for a long lasting clip chart!
