Sketching Graphs of Derivatives Worksheet

Created by
Hailstone Math
This worksheet includes 20 problems and an answer key. Students will practice sketching graphs of derivative functions from a given graph. They do not need to calculate slopes exactly, but they should make sure to notice where the slope of the graph is 0 and where the slope of the graph is steepest. Blank graphs are provided for students to graph the derivative are carefully placed beneath the graph of the original function to help them line up their answers. See my other worksheet Graphing D

This bundle includes 8 worksheets for various Calculus AB topics and 1 derivative rules reference sheet. Note: "Sketching Graphs of Derivatives Worksheet" and "Graphing Derivatives Functions Worksheet" cover the same topic in two different ways. The bundle pricing reflects that teachers will likely use only one or the other.

Evaluating and Graphing Integral Functions Worksheet

Created by
Hailstone Math
This worksheet includes 10 problems and an answer key. Students will evaluate and graph integral functions F(x). First, they fill in a table of values for F(x) by finding the area under the curve of a function f(t). The functions are primarily made up by lines for easy calculation of area. Then, they will graph the points of F(x) and connect them with lines or curves. The first 4 problems have a single line. The final 6 problems are piecewise functions, composed of 3 or 4 lines.

Area Between Curves Worksheet

Created by
Hailstone Math
This worksheet contains a total of 15 problems and an answer key. Students write integrals representing area between curves. This worksheet focuses on writing integrals to represent areas instead of solving them, since this is the new calculus skill students are learning. Solving the integrals can be quite time consuming! However, the answer key not only contains integral expressions, but it also includes both exact and decimal answers for teachers who wish to have their students evaluate the

This worksheet includes 8 problems and an answer key. Students will graph derivative functions by identifying the zeros of the derivative and calculating the slope of the steepest points on the graph (the points of inflection). Each problem is on its own page so that students have plenty of room to draw tangent lines and calculate slopes. See my other worksheet Sketching Graphs of Derivatives Worksheet for further practice on sketching out the shapes of graphs of derivatives without calculat

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching mathematics in a private school in New Jersey since 2016, every subject from prealgebra to calculus and statistics.

Teaching style

I am excited about teaching math and seeing students enjoy math when they get it. Too often, I find that a lack of good resources stands in the way of what I want my students to accomplish. My resources focus on providing additional practice with problems that curricula contain too little of, especially graphing problems and word problems. I value clean, organized, visually appealing, and simple resources for my students to work on. I am particular about getting the right variety and mix of difficulty in the problems for students to practice. I hope my resources are a great aid to you!

My own education history

I have a B.S. in Secondary Math Education from Cairn University and an M.A. in Math from Villanova University.
