Parent Functions Cut and Match Activity
Students will cut, mix, then match up four different representations of parent functions: names equations graphs tables There are 12 basic parent functions and 6 trigonometric functions. You can leave out the trigonometric functions if your students have not studied trigonometry. This activity has infinite reusability! Students can practice as many times as needed until they know the parent functions inside and out. Alternatively, match up only 2 or 3 of the representations.

Experience
I have been teaching mathematics in a private school in New Jersey since 2016, every subject from prealgebra to calculus and statistics.
Teaching style
I am excited about teaching math and seeing students enjoy math when they get it. Too often, I find that a lack of good resources stands in the way of what I want my students to accomplish. My resources focus on providing additional practice with problems that curricula contain too little of, especially graphing problems and word problems. I value clean, organized, visually appealing, and simple resources for my students to work on. I am particular about getting the right variety and mix of difficulty in the problems for students to practice. I hope my resources are a great aid to you!
My own education history
I have a B.S. in Secondary Math Education from Cairn University and an M.A. in Math from Villanova University.
