An engaging smartboard lesson that teaches kids how to find the hidden rule between two sets of data. It also challenges students to create fact family number sentences with the rule. At the end of the lesson, students answer three STAAR released questions to assess knowledge.

Students can create an abstract piece of artwork using their geometric terms. This requires students to apply what they know in a fun and creative way. Students can create this on a computer or by hand.

This smart lesson walks students through what an expository essay is and what makes a great paper! It is an interactive and very engaging lesson that is easy to follow. Contains three pages.
Page One: A summary, setting, and theme graphic organizer. After students read a story, they will complete the organizer. This creates a consistent structure and prepares students to summarize independently.
Page Two: Students complete the plot mountain using the summary words. When I introduce summary and plot- I always play the "Mission Impossible" theme song to set the mood.

This Geometry Test requires students to remember Geometric definitions and apply their knowledge in a rigorous manner. It tests both lower level and higher level thinking. It covers the following concepts:
-Points
-Lines
-Line relationships
-Angles
-Quadrilaterals
The format is multiple choice, true/false, matching, fill in the blank.
Contains 30 questions that could be broken up into three quizzes.
Answer Key is included.
This project requires students to:
1. Create a creature
2. Make a Diagram of the creature
3. Make a habitat for the creature based off its characteristics
4. Describe how the creature adapts to survive its habitat
5. Make a food web of the habitat.
This high interest project requires students to apply what they have learned about organisms, character traits, adaptations, habitats, climate, land formations. It requires higher level thinking skills.
