About the store
I have worked with "at-risk" students for almost 15 years now. I have been a paraprofessional, teacher aide, online course facilitator, Title I tutor, RTI Coordinator, academic leader, and, last but not least, a teacher. Most of my experience has been in Title I schools with very high free- and reduced-lunch rates. I have also taught GED classes for adults. I have found my passion and purpose. My most recent experience has placed me as Secondary Intervention Specialist.

Book Preview Log
Great way to introduce a selection of new books in a classroom library. Allow students to get into groups with a stack of books at each center. One person is the "timer" and sets the timer for 3 minutes per round. Students each get one book and the timer is set. They must follow the "Preview Rules" of looking at the cover, looking at the back, and reading the first couple of pages in 3 minutes. They then record their answers on the log and pass their book to the left. Books keep swapping until t
