MEMORIAL DAY CROSSWORD PUZZLE is a fun, ready-to-print patriotic themed activity that reinforces vocabulary to better understand this important holiday. The student will solve each clue in the crossword puzzle referring to the provided clues and word box. After solving the crossword puzzle, the student will write down three ways we can remember those who have lost their lives while serving in the military. These ideas can be student-generated or drawn from the clues provided in the puzzle. Here

Teaching style
Most of my nearly 30 years in education have been spent teaching students in grades 3, 4, and 5. I was an Instructional Coach for several years, but my heart always brings me back into the classroom. I recently retired from teaching Gifted self-contained 5th grade in sunny Arizona.
