I originally created this for a family math night. We gave each family a set of cards and taught them these simple but fun games to use with the cards. This powerpoint includes simple games to reinforce math concepts like addition.

The king told him to make it a certain number of feet and the carpenter did. The problem was that the king's feet and the carpenter's feet were different. This is useful to go over manipulative rules...sometimes I like to tell my 2nd graders that the manipulatives have voices only kids can hear. If I see my students playing with their manipulatives then I have to give the manipulatives a time out because they are telling my students to play with them and not follow the manipulative manners.
