This presentation tells the story of why we have standard measurement. The story is that long ago a carpenter was ordered to make a bed for the queen. The king told him to make it a certain number of feet and the carpenter did. The problem was that the king's feet and the carpenter's feet were different. This is great to introduce a measurement unit.
This jeopardy game is intended for a review of Chapter 2: Fact Strategies in Addition. Our 2nd grade curriculum is Scott Foresman however, this would be a good review for any curriculum dealing with fact strategies.
