IEP Accommodations Cheat Sheet

Created by
HeyEmmaTeach
Use this to keep track of accommodations for students on IEPs or other plans. The page offers a space for the names (or initials) of students, a list of common accommodations that you can check off, and a box for notes. Good as a quick reference sheet or for substitute teachers. *the accommodations listed are more geared towards the secondary classroom

About the store

Experience

At the secondary level: English, ESL. At the higher ed level: First-Year composition, English, ESL, writing tutoring.

Teaching style

My teaching style is about building authentic connections and realistic skills. Students develop what I call a "toolbelt of strategies" that is applicable in their lives, careers, or other courses. Students also engage with the text, grammar, and writing in modern and meaningful ways in order to see English as something useful and relatable. My research focus is in edutainment (specifically educational television, YouTube, and video) and linguistic diversity, inclusion, and acculturation (adapting methods to be ESL inclusive).

Awards & shining teacher moments

Excellence in Teaching - Master's Level. Outstanding Teacher - Departmental Level. Most Foundational Resource - Departmental Level. Academic Honors in Writing - Undergraduate Level. Tutor of the Year - Undergraduate Level.

My own education history

M.A. in TESOL and Linguistics. B.S. in Secondary English Education with a concentration in Literature. Teaching English as a Second Langauge licensure as minor.
