Place Value Game
Practice game for place value. For the first few weeks I print one for every child. When they've got it I put it in a page protector and let them use dry erase markers. Game play: Roll the dice. Write the tens and ones. Draw a quick picture to show the number. Write the number in expanded notation.

Teaching style
Student centered. Students need to be engaged in their learning. They also need to take responsibility for their learning. If they feel as if you are wasting their time, then you are wasting their time. If you are not open to their needs, then you will not get anywhere with 90% of your students.
