About the store
I've taught 13 years on K and 1st grade in Georgia and Alabama. My experience is in public and private education. I have been a Director of Student Services where I aided students in grades K-12th grade with various needs. Reading intervention was the main focus. I have also been Teacher of the Year THREE times! I also have been named District Teacher of the Year in one of those schools. I was recognized through the University of Alabama for lesson plan submission by the Office of Research on Teaching in the Disciplines. I have taught art classes to kindergarten through 5th grade, including special needs classes. I have also taught PE classes for my grade level. I have co-coached K5- 2nd grades and 3rd-6th grade cheer squads. I also co-coached 2nd - 4th graders basketball. Those all were interesting! I have served on various teams. I have served on the committees to plan and execute various school events and the Rigorous Curriculum Design team. I have also been trained in the Daily Five reading program and the AMSTI science program. I have written and shared both kindergarten and first grade basic curriculums based on the Open Court and Saxon Math programs. I have also collaborated with fellow lower school and middle school teachers to plan, organize, and carry out cross curricular /student led instruction I prepared and presented a successful presentation at the 2022 AISA Annual Conference. That was nerve racking to say the least! haha

This was such a fun activity! It really makes learning about animal habitats seem REAL to kiddos. A nice, sunny day with a class full of eager kiddos that have been studying animals and habitats. You’ve taught them tons of new things and you are ready to let their brains do the teaching! Let them do the science, technology, engineering, and math teaching! Kiddos planning, kiddos carrying on self-driven conversations, and even kiddos making decisions! Sounds wild right? Not at all! Imagine those

Hey Teachers! Ever need a quick template for spelling test? Need a spelling test routine? I have you covered! There are three options. There are 5 words for kindergarten. There is a lot of back and forth about spelling words in kindergarten but I didn’t start until January and taught 5 each week. This taught them how to take a spelling test and reinforced those encoding skills. The other two options are for ten words. Your kiddos might need dotted lines or they may be ready to transition to re
