Experience

I have worked with Spanish speaking students and as a bilingual educator for more than ten years. My primary goals as an educator are to create meaning for students through integrating content across subjects and linking applied learning outside, in the school garden in particular, with classroom learning.

My own education history

I have studied both Fine Arts and Education, and hold graduate degrees in both areas. I lived and worked in Central America and multiple countries in South America, and I have worked in a Dual Language environment, teaching in both Spanish and English, for 11 years. All that said, I would say that most of my education as a teacher has come from the practice of teaching and from my students.
