Compound Ratios is a review worksheet giving students the opportunity to practice their understanding of Compounds and Elements, as well as their understanding of Ratios. This could be used as a cross-curricular assignment for science and math, or it could be used for either subject independently. Additionally, this could be used as a homework assignment, partner activity, or as a center.
This lab uses wooden blocks and clay to model the different types of stress on Earth's crust as well as the different types of faults. Additionally, students are challenged to create different land forms created from stress, such as mountains and valleys. The Phases of Matter Interactive Foldable is a three-flap foldable that can be used in a science interactive notebook or as a separate graphic organizer. Students can use it to take notes when learning about the three phases of matter, as well as the phases changes. To create the foldable, print the first two pages back to back. This crossword puzzle is a vocabulary review of words related to the properties of matter as well as the different types of matter. The puzzle is a word document, so it is editable if necessary.
The Matter Vocabulary Organizer is a review activity used to help students reinforce the concepts of chemistry, matter, atoms, compounds, elements and mixtures. The activity includes an organizer and a list of matter vocabulary words. Completing the organizer allows students to extend their learning of the matter vocabulary from the knowledge to application level. Once complete, this graphic organizer is a great tool that students can use for test review.
