This is a multi-day project supporting the Bridges portion of the Form & Function Ontario grade 7 curriculum. Using the PBS site to support research, students will create a PowerPoint presentation about an assigned bridge. Attached is a teacher example to show students, a rubric, and assignment sheet detailing expectations by slide. A great starter project to get students used to presentations.

This is a great multi-day activity to wrap up the Ontario Grade 8 Cells Unit. In this project, students will compare a plant or animal cell to a concept of their choice: ie. "A Cell is Like A Farm", "A Cell is Like A Computer", etc. Then, they will make a creative display of their analogy, comparing each organelle to a specific component of a cell. They can make a poster, PowerPoint, song, or another creative display.
This interactive PowerPoint contains discussion questions that encourage students to consider how plants/trees reproduce through seeds. After the PowerPoint lesson, there is a handout to accompany the pinecone experience. Great to accompany any ecology unit. You will need pinecones for this lesson.
