Teaching style

At Inquiry in Practice, teaching is grounded in the belief that children are capable thinkers. My approach centres on student voice, meaningful discussion, and inquiry-driven learning. Rather than relying on scripted lessons or surface-level comprehension tasks, I design frameworks that help students build ideas together, ask authentic questions, and think deeply about texts and concepts. I value: • Student-led discussion • Collaboration and shared decision-making • Reflective classroom routines • Flexible frameworks that grow with learners • Learning experiences rooted in curiosity and purpose The goal is not simply to complete tasks — it is to create classrooms where students listen carefully, speak thoughtfully, and learn from one another. Resources are designed to support IB PYP and inquiry-centered classrooms, while remaining adaptable to a wide range of teaching contexts.
