About the store
Welcome to my Learning Space! I am an educator with 15 years teaching experience . I have been a classroom teacher and coach, as well as a researcher/teacher in a student thinking project. I believe in arming our students of all abilities with the powerful tool of using their voice in order to take ownership over their learning. As educators, our work starts at the thinking displayed at our students' desks first, through their own eyes.
I know when teachers seek to make student thinking visible, and are open to learning about how students think, they will effectivel facilitate student achievement in all areas.

Anticipation Guide Before and After Reading
Anticipation Guides are useful Pre-Reading Strategies as they help to frame the focus of either fiction or nonfiction texts for students. It also allows for students to formulate connections and predictions of the text. The Anticipation Guide is an effective strategy in allowing students to revisit and modify these predictions and connections as they learn more information from the text, and can ultimately build their schema!
