Dr. A. Fernandez brings classroom experience spanning 2nd grade through 8th grade, with her professional focus rooted in middle school. She has taught 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies, as well as Reading, Sheltered English, and English Language Development. Her instructional approach blends purposeful structure with a calm, steady classroom presence — creating clarity for teachers and confidence for students.
In addition to her K–8 classroom experience, Dr. Fernandez serves as an adjunct professor in a Master’s program in Educational Leadership, where she supports developing school leaders in research, instructional design, and systems-level thinking.
Her work also extends to mentoring new teachers through induction, guiding early-career educators in instructional planning, classroom culture, and professional growth.
