ZAP The Math Monsters
This is a fun way to introduce the concepts of fractions & percent while engaging the students in a Star Wars type game where they can knock out the monsters representing fears of making math mistakes. This game should help them overcome math phobia and introduce them to how fractions and percents are calculated.

Teaching style
Teaching math can be an adventure; it's a process of leading students to discover ways to quantify, calculate, measure, and understand. My method is to incorporate fun math projects into the middle school curriculum - projects that are based on adventure themes. They stimulate curiosity and keep the students engaged.
