About the store

Experience

It all began when the electricity went out. My grandpa said something about growing up without electricity and my mind was blown. A time without electricity? Could it be? What would someone do without it? The love of history and social studies was born but why stop with just history?

Teaching style

One cannot just learn history. There has to be a basic understanding of government, economics, religion, social structures, technology, the arts, psychology and sociology...it's all in there. That's what an integrated approach to social studies is all about.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was nominated for New Teacher of the Year during my rookie season. I have been told by many students that I was their favorite teacher. : )

My own education history

I took way more history classes than necessary in college because I just couldn't get enough. I'd love to write a history textbook one day because, if for no other reason, I'd get to read more about history.
