Floor Plan Project
Students will measure a room/hallway of the school. Use large graph paper rolls for each room/hallway. Example from Amazon, click here.The idea is that each student can quickly measure a room, draw a rough draft then a final draft using the paper shown above. You could use normal graph paper if you wish, it just isn't as flashy. Each student puts their room on the hallway, which will clearly show who followed instructions. Students can talk with each other to figure out what went wrong. This

Hands on, interactive and geared towards what the students enjoy is the way to go. Creating a memorable lesson is important in learning. Think back about your learning experience as a child, chances are the things you remember are the lessons that had meaning because you were interested.

My own education history
I have my associates degree in simulation and game programming and my bachelor in middle school education for math and science. My masters is in gifted and talented education. I am a licensed and practicing educator.
