Students will measure a room/hallway of the school. Use large graph paper rolls for each room/hallway. Example from Amazon, click here.The idea is that each student can quickly measure a room, draw a rough draft then a final draft using the paper shown above. Hands on, interactive and geared towards what the students enjoy is the way to go. Creating a memorable lesson is important in learning. Think back about your learning experience as a child, chances are the things you remember are the lessons that had meaning because you were interested.

I have my associates degree in simulation and game programming and my bachelor in middle school education for math and science. My masters is in gifted and talented education. I am a licensed and practicing educator.
