Help your students prepare for the California State Test Performance Task by guiding them through an engaging practice test. I created this test based on my students' interests. Axolotls seem to be a hit recently. I have included two levels of support, a graphic organizer and sentence frames. This is meant to help students understand how to look at multiple sources and then answer a prompt while citing information from multiple articles. I hope your students enjoy this lesson as much as mine did

This packet contains mostly writing prompts. The prompts touch on big themes in the novel and key concepts. There are also figurative language worksheets with answer keys and figurative language charts. I included a character analysis graphic organizer and sentence frames. Lastly, there is a quiz for the end of part 1, part 2, and part 3.
