This has practice for factoring quadratics where a = 1 and where a is not equal to 1. NOTE: This particular worksheet does not have practice with the quadratic formula.

It also covers how to solve absolute value functions graphically, and graphing the absolute value of a quadratic equation.

This 4 page packet is a step-by-step process covering pre-algebra skills such as combining like terms, the distributive property, and moving terms to the left nad right in an equation, then moving onto solving equations (including word problems) using these skills. The final part (optional to include) is solving two step equations. All problems are original work and the answer key is included.
