About the store

Experience

I spent 5 years teaching middle school math. I then became my school's technology coordinator, helping teachers incorporate technology into their lessons. I'm currently an elementary school resource/co-teacher for grades 2-5.

Teaching style

I believe students learn and retain information by practicing. Rather than doing boring worksheets, games and activities stimulate their brains and make them apply what they have learned to a new situation.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have presented at these conferences: Fayette County's Innovations for Learning 2019 Prince George's County Powering Up with Technology 2012 Prince George's County Powering Up With Technology 2013 Prince George's County Powering Up With Technology 2014 iConnect (Sunset Elementary 2012) Brainfest 2012 (Annapolis Area Christian School) MSET at the Baltimore Convention Center in April 2013

My own education history

I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2006 with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I completed my master's degree in Special Education Leadership and Teaching from College of Notre Dame of Maryland in 2011.

Additional biographical information

I love sharing my love of learning and technology with my fellow staff members. When teachers are excited about teaching, students are excited about learning!
