Use MAC for your classroom management! The acronym MAC is simpler to use with younger students, but just as effective as CHAMPS. In my classroom, Señor Mac is a stuffed monkey that watches students' good/bad behavior. I've used a clipart of a monkey to represent Mac in this resource. Included is a clip chart which includes expectations for: Movement *Sitting criss-cross *Sitting in your seat *Sitting around the room *Responsible movement Activity *Whole group *Independent work *Partner work *Gr

Make graphing a sweet lesson with this activity! On page 1, students can sort their Skittles by color and then record their findings on a bar graph. On page 2, students will use their Skittles to create a bar graph. Then they will tally their results and answer two questions. I have my students color the Skittles on the pages before starting the activity to avoid any confusion, or you can color before making a class set of copies.

Want to track your students' sight word progress in your data wall of the classroom? This clip chart is a great way to track student progress! Print two to a page, and use clothes pins to mark how many sight words your students have learned to read. My students start off on the red section, then move their clip up as they learn their sight words. I use this with a spreadsheet that has my students' names and all of the words they will learn! My district requires students to learn 50 sight words,

Have your students choose how you'll greet them each morning! Spanish greetings include: Wave Fist bump High five Hug French fries (you wiggle your fingers at student. Inspired by the Kindergarten Smorgasboard). I glue the greetings to a ribbon and hang near my door to be ready to greet my students. You need PowerPoint to open the file.

Conduct calendars are an excellent communication tool to use with parents! I use it in conjunction with ClassDojo to keep parents in the loop of events and their child's conduct. This file includes ink saving calendars for August to June (minimal color!). The file is editable so that you may add a reminder to parents and add your classroom rules.

This information sheet is great to include along with the packet of forms the school requires parents to fill out at the beginning of each year. I keep this for my records in a student/parent contact binder.
