Welcome to my TPT store! My name is Kimberly. I have been teaching middle school and high school for 20 years. I have a passion for technology and financial education. I am currently a business education middle school teacher and a CTAE online adjunct instructor. I enjoy creating lessons for my students and would love to share them with you. Career Lesson: Fashion Designers
After discussing the career - fashion designer, students must design their own clothing/accessories by drawing a rough draft and a final draft of the item. Then, three of their peers must rate their design.

This is a lesson that I use in my career class when discussing diversity and introducing the topic of Braille. We discuss the history of Braille and study the braille alphabet. I use this journal form with my middle school students. The first 5-10 minutes of class they must copy the journal question off the board and respond by writing a tweet each day. They must also draw a related picture (twit-pic).

Career Lesson: Archaeologists & Hieroglyphics
I teach this lesson in my career classroom when we are discussing Archaeologists. We discuss what an archaeologists does, work environment, etc. We also discuss the history of hieroglyphics. Then students have to write the career title of the career they want to be - in hieroglyphics. To take it a step further, student have then create their own hieroglyphics symbols for each letter of the alphabet and use those symbols to write their name. Career Booklet Project
Students can use the classroom textbook (OOH) or they can use the computer lab to access the website: http://www.bls.gov/ooh/ Students will complete the ten pages to create a booklet about his/her career. Each page should include information that the student researched and a large, colored drawing(s) that represents each of the topics. The first page is a cover page. The last page is the back cover.
