About the store
I have spent several years teaching secondary education in the subjects of English Language Arts and History. I am currently now a department chair and wanted to share lessons that worked for me in the classroom and also wanted to create new lessons that meet the needs of a wide variety of students after seeing dozens of effective teachers throughout my tenure as a site leader.

SIMPLIFIED Backwards Design Lesson Plan Template

Created by
James Given
This is a free backwards design lesson plan template. This has helped me quickly design lesson plans for my daily lessons. It’s short, to the point, and easy to use. I have seen too many lesson plan templates that are 3-4 pages long. This is realistic and a great, quick, resource/tool to have in your educator toolbox. *Please leave a positive review for this free resource! It’d really help! Thanks, James Given

Grade 9-12 Bathroom Passes

I use these to minimize classroom interruptions. Students fill out passes and come to me quietly so that I can sign without any questions at all. I offer 8 passes per semester and give extra credit for unused passes. Nearly no one uses them and anytime they really need to go, they know the procedure.

About the store

Experience

I have spent several years teaching secondary education in the subjects of English Language Arts and History. I am currently now a department chair and wanted to share lessons that worked for me in the classroom and also wanted to create new lessons that meet the needs of a wide variety of students after seeing dozens of effective teachers throughout my tenure as a site leader.

Teaching style

I firmly believe that teachers should be the expert facilitator in the room while the students should take part in the heavy, mental lifting. Giving them great resources to engage with and having a motivated, knowledgeable leader in the room is the key to success!
