These can be used to stand up name plates to be able to use both sides. They provide blocks to write students names in capital letters and then they include a Handwriting Without Tears line for both capital and lowercase letters to write students' name. The front also includes the numbers to 20. The back includes all 26 letters with all 44 Kindergarten Sight Words. They can be changed to match any grades words.

I used these in my classroom to post to help students write their color words. They can also be used as flash cards to help students practice reading and spelling their color words.

This is a banner that you print out then cut out the squares to make a banner that reads Welcome to Owl Class with owls on each end. You can position the letters any way you like and can even change the banner to say whatever you like.

1st Grade sight words that can be used on a Word Wall, as flashcards, or in a word work area.

I used these for morning work to allow students time to practice their spelling words each day of the week. Day 1 - Write the words in the boxes. Day 2 - Color vowels red and constants blue Day 3 - Cut out the boxes Day 4 - glue the words in a notebook

I use these checklists during my Guided Reading time to ensure that I am teaching the correct sight words in the correct Quarter and during the correct Reading Level. This list is based on the Jan Richardson's The Next Step in Guided Reading book.

I use this checklist every day during class and when planning to ensure my students have met all the standards needed. This includes Letter I.D., Sight Words by Quarter, Running Record Level, Writing, & Math.

I used this resource for online learning but you could also use the slides in your own face to face class.

Reward your students with coupons that don't require you to buy anything!! Just offer a coupon and make life easier to encourage good behavior.

If you are like me and are just getting familiar with the new Common Core Standards, you might put them in your lesson plans. These also might be required from your Principal and this Excel File makes it easier to copy and paste your standards in your plans or other documents. The unique colors also make it easier to find exactly what you are looking for.

Use these 2nd grade words to help make your room a little more colorful!

This is a slides show that can be used for a transition night, open house, or parent night to help students and parents know who their teachers are and the beginning of the year expectations.

I use these to have parents fill out with their children for the first day of school. We then share them with the class and then tape them to their desk. It helps students to have something from home the first few days of school and it helps to remind them why they are in school in the first place!

There are three different book covers for whatever theme your classroom could be. I can make different ones if you like. The last page is for students to help them as they work on their vocabulary. We made these into a booklet so they can write two vocab words on one page.
