This lesson is designed to help students visualize the solutions of a system of inequalities as overlapping shaded regions by comparing Venn diagrams, tables and graphs. It can be used as an introduction to systems of inequalities. However, students should know how to graph a single linear inequality. A Venn diagram activity and single inequality review is included.

6.NS.C Integer Introduction
Why wait until 6th grade for integers? A simple bar chart with positive and negative temperatures in Celsius is the introduction. I use this with students as young as 3rd grade. Students will get an early understanding of adding and subtracting integers. The is a low entry level with the focus on classroom discussions.
