About the store
I am a primary school teacher in Australia. I have had over 11 years of classroom teaching, 8 years of teaching gifted students and 11 years teaching maths intervention and extension, I have returned to classroom teaching after a short break and am loving every moment of teaching.
In my role as maths coordinator for 10 years, I have been involved in extensive curriculum writing and providing resources and professional development for the staff at our school.
I started teaching over 30 years ago and still love to make learning fun, interesting and challenging for the students. I love producing resources that have a specific skill focus and sharing my ideas with others.

A quick, easy and fun Christmas maths game. This game gives students lots of practice and is enjoyable as they decorate their Christmas tree.
Game 1: Addition using two 10 side dice.
Game 2: Tables using two 10 side dice.
Game 3: Tables using one 12 side dice and a 3/4/9 dice (you can make your own dice using blank wooden cubes)
Game 4: Tables using one 12 side dice and a 10/2/5 dice (you can make your own dice using blank wooden cubes)

Color the Stars ~ Doubles to 120 - A Color & Dice Maths Game
A great game using strategy and doubles facts up to 120. Just photocopy, roll the dice and color the circles and stars. An extra challenge is to ask the students which numbers are impossible to color in!

Christmas Sums Game: Addition, Subtraction, Doubles Colouring Activity
A Christmas Maths Activity: Kids love making these pictures appear in colour as they solve the sums and trace over the line drawings.
Everyone can draw great Christmas pictures and practice lots of basic addition, subtraction and doubles sums at the same time as playing a game.
Preparation: Laminate (if you want to reuse these next year) and cut the 54 cards per small group. Copy a Christmas picture for each student. I have included a choice of two pictures. 1) Nativity Scene, 2) Christmas Symb

Number Fact Mix Up
A fun game using a variety of number facts (Doubling, halving, x 10, add 10, take 10, add 1, take 1, add 2, take 2, etc. Players use strategy to choose which number fact to use to get to their winning number.
2 Player Game. You need both cards and a set of counters each.
Instructions:
Each player chooses a colored square to start on. Place a counter on the number.
Take turns to place a counter on one triangle on the Triangle Number Facts.
Apply the number fact to your number and move the counte

Record individual student's progress of addition and multiplication facts that are known. it is a great visual tool for both students and teachers to see which facts are still required to be known.
Keep a copy in each student's workbook to record progress.

My teaching style is to provide fun, challenging activities that focus on a specific learning skill. My most effective teaching is using explicit teaching followed by practice, followed by application, enrichment or extension through problem solving or games. The teachers love the resources I produce because they focus on specific skills.

Many years ago I produced 8 maths problem solving books that were published. I have also taught gifted and talented children for several years. While I do love maths, I also love writing and my dream is to one day have a novel and children's picture story book published.
