About the store
I have been a teacher for 21 years. It is my dream job! I taught E.S.L. for 2 years and have taught 4th grade for 17 years. I started as a Head Start aide, which was a powerful experience. I was lucky enough to student teach in 1st grade for a year with a wonderful mentor teacher. I was also the high school debate coach for 6 years, which has been helpful with the new Common Core writing standards! I use all the materials I create in my classroom.

I have been a fourth grade teacher at a public school (high poverty and ESL) for 18 years. Every year many of my students come in struggling to remember how to do the subtraction algorithm (even though our third grade teachers are wonderful). So I've been reteaching the algorithm for many years. I've used manipulatives and worksheets, we've acted it out...a lot of time and effort for minimal results. 24 weeks of review of 4th grade place value, addition/subtraction, rounding, and multiplication/division skills. Use as homework, a weekly in-class review, at a center, or with an intervention group. Each review clearly identifies which Common Core standards are covered. I chose Common Core standards that were skill based and have proven somewhat difficult for my students in the past. The sequence of standards reflects how many curriculums are structured, starting with place value and moving

Included are 20 progress monitors. Each progress monitor covers all the 4th grade Numbers and Operations Base Ten standards. Terms are defined and strategies suggested on each page to help students practice successfully. Please note these do NOT have answer keys yet. I am working on them but they will not be ready for awhile. Use these to document student progress on grade 4 standards over the year, for standards based reporting on report cards, as a review for end of year tests like the S
