Students watch a video on how to prepare gazpacho and fill in the correct form of the informal tú command. Two versions are included for levels of difficulty (verbs included next to the sentence versus no verbs listed) along with an answer key. The video runs 2 minutes and is easy to follow. This is a non-speaking video. Students will see the commands as the gazpacho is made. For more difficulty, have students watch the video and then fill out the handout.

In this activity, students watch a 5 minute clip from the Disney film Aladdin (the part where Aladdin enters the Cave of Wonders) and then answer questions using the passive voice. Before watching, students define (or draw) six vocabulary words related to the clip. They then read 12 questions that are written in the active voice (preterite tense). They must watch the clip and then answer the questions using the passive voice. This activity is also available to practice the active voice preterite

A fun, engaging activity that gets students racing to look up words, pronunciation, parts of speech and other information that can be found in a dictionary. Any on-line dictionary or paper dictionary will work. No prep required!

Students practice words with the prefixes de- and dis- by filling-in-the-blanks. A synonym or group of words is given in parenthesis to help guide students towards the right word. A second handout works strictly with dis- prefixes allowing students to guess meaning by analyzing the parts of the word.

Students match words to describe hot and cold weather with their definitions. They then draw a picture to describe weather in their own hometown (or where they currently live) and finish a sentence to complete the handout. Answer key is included.

Students cut out activities and paste them into a days of the week grid to correspond with the days the class does those activities. Activities are PE, art, music, library and NO school (for Saturday and Sunday).

Students answer multiple choice questions and follow directions based on their answer. If the answer is correct, they are given a new question. If it is wrong, they are told why and then they try again. All words begin with the prefix de-.

Students complete sentences using adjectives to explain how they would feel in certain situations. Students then draw pictures to show the emotions.

Students practice writing sentences with while and meanwhile to show simultaneous actions.

Students choose answer multiple choice and true/false questions with words related to the doctor office.

Students match words to pictures using a word bank and then write sentences using the adjectives.
