A Colour-By-Number with a musical twist. Notes replace numerals and by colouring them in their assigned colour, a mysterious images appears! This will slowly grow in difficulty - but for now, here are some cards I've made - 6 packs per 30 pages so three prints of this bad boy should cover your class for at least pairs! I went onto a free Bingo site and put in numbers 3-30 too so that students can take one of these cards off of the top, say what it is, prove it to their partner without counting each dot individually (so - adding on, counting in 2's, near doubles etc) and the first to get a row wins BINGO :)
I have a very visual mind. Whilst working with Year 1 and 2 last year, I found that students consistently confused column and bar graphs. Whilst walking past the town hall, I suddenly has some inspiration and the next week we talked about the columns that hold up the front of the town hall and 'chocolate' bar graphs.
