This activity was developed to demonstrate how addition is used in the real world. This activity was created for a high school special education program. In this activity, students use a budget friendly online grocery store to purchase ingredients for their grandma’s chili recipe. I like to use this activity at the start of a semester to see how well my students are able to complete addition questions involving money and navigate the internet.
