This resource is a collaborative literary activity for groups of students to analyze a text in Spanish. There are 8 activities, a clear rubric, and overall instructions. This is perfect for a world-language classroom, and can be easily modified for an immersion bilingual classroom in Spanish or English.

The rubrics in this pack are designed to facilitate student work in a collaborative, student-led environment. Both rubrics are designed for student self-evaluation and evaluation by a teacher; however, one is specific to an activity and the other is an overall rubric for collaborative activities.

In this assignment, students work with a group to analyze one text collaboratively from different perspectives. Students have multiple options from which to select for their task, and every member participates actively and contributes meaningfully to the final product. This is great to apply in any world-language, history, ELA, or content class in which students are expected to interact with challenging, authentic, and content-rich texts.

This handout helps teachers create workstations using a simple yet recognizable format. This helps students know what to expect in terms of the elements of a workstation, while also allowing for significant variation in the activities themselves.
