After the students learn about the parts of a cell, they will create a plant cell using graham crackers, vanilla frosting, and candy. Included in this purchase is a letter to the parents asking for supplies. The students will fill out this worksheet about the functions of each organelle before taking their first bite.
This is always one of my favorite activities, and I invite the parents to come and see our masterpieces as well.
